  • Transformable Robots

Transformers Movie Poster - Transformers Robots In Disguise

I watched the Transformer movie four times and I did not get the feel of the origin. This Michael Bay’s Transformer was really a big disappointment for me. So was his movie Pearl Harbour.

The most disappointment of all, there was no original transformer soundtrack in the movie, not at all. Stupid of me to to even expect a techno or remix.

In the movie, the character of the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime greatly differ from the origin. So was the character of Megatron, the Decepticon leader. When the transformers transformed, the transforming sound was also not the same form the origin and that made the transformer so fake, like pirated stuffs.

In the movie, lot of main characters were missing from the beginning especially from the Decepticon. To make it more like the transformer rather than other sci-fi movie, the Decepticon main characters only appeared almost at the end. I find this damn lame.

Another icon of the Transformer was Starscream always trying to lead the Decepticon was missing. The main human characters in the original Transformer was father and son, not boyfriend with sporty Bumble Bee flirting with babe.

When you watched Resident Evil, you could feel the origin of the video game. Mission Impossible kept the theme song and icon stunts from the origin.

When I watch this movie again, I would not consider as a Transformer movie. I would treat it like another robot show fighting to save the world.

My verdict, it was a movie about transformable robots and not Transformers. What a transformers robots in disguise.

  • My Sony Ericsson S500c

My Sony Ericsson S500c lighted up!

My SE K800i suddenly cannot powered up after I changed the battery. I was disappointed and desperate for a mobile phone and I bought my Sony Ericsson S500c. As I explored the phone, I realised this was a lady-killer phone. Using this phone made me popular among the ladies.

This phone worked with iSync but I had to buy the plugin from a third-party vendor. The music playback on the speaker was better than the K800i. The OS performed faster and smoother than K800i too. This phone also support PictBridge and came with 512MB Sony M2 memory card.

However the next day, I got the power up problem of my K800i fixed and now it was working fine.

  • 4 8 15 16 23 42

    Lost, Season One

Yeah! Another drama marathon, completed three seasons in one breath, watching while eating egg tarts and orange juice on my cozy couch.

The story was typical, was a combo of lot of movies and computer games stories into a long drama but the scenes were well constructed and that was what made the drama so anticipating, so mysterious, so addicting that I just wanted to keep watching episode after episode.

My favourite character was the fat guy, Hugo Reyes also known as Hurley, played by Jorge Garcia. He turned out to be a millionaire after his lottery windfall.

Another favourite of mine was Vincent, the labrador dog. The dog was adorable and fun. When I saw Vincent running up and down the beach, how I wished I was there to play with him.

In the drama, take note of this set of numbers, 4 8 15 16 23 42.

  • Save The Cheerleader, Save The World

Heroes - Save The Cheerleader, Save The World

“Save the cheerleader, save the world” that the story of NBC drama, Heroes, all about saving New York from an explosion by saving the cheerleader, Claire Bennet played by Hayden Panettiere, and kill the bad guy called Sylar that killed superpower people to get their powers.

As the story escalated and coming to an end, it got more emotional and the show also injected family values. Not just about saving the world. All these heroes, some had to save their individual families, for the bigger picture, to save the world.

As I got engrossed into the drama, I also fell in love with the cheerleader, Claire. Her beauty captivated my eyes.

I now looking forward for the next season of Heroes.

  • NAS For My Home

After Setting Up A Wireless Router, Airport Extreme glows in the dark

Got myself a 802.11n compatible router, the new AirPort Extreme.

Beside running my network on N version, faster speed and covering longer distance, another cool reason was I could run a NAS (Network-Attached Storage) on it.

The new hardware is cool. I just plugged in my USB harddisk to the Extreme and I had my storage over the network. I could configured to access the harddisk over the internet through Apple File Protocol (AFP). The Extreme could be enabled for Wide-Area Bonjour too but I could not find any in-depth documentation on the topic so I did not configure it.

Great! After setting up a wireless router at home, now I had my own NAS. My friends could do big files sharing with me when I was offline. This also benefited my mac clients for not lagging and hogging my network bandwidth.

  • Prison Break

Watch Prison Break Episodes, Season One

Finally, finished the season one and two of Prison Break. The story was good, a lot of anticipation of what going to happen next. There were a lot of characters in the show and I liked the way, some of the characters were reused, same character but took on another role as the story changed.

I liked the ending of season two, where Michael Scofield ended up in another prison.

I am waiting for season three. Watch prison break episodes get me excited on the sofa.

  • My MacBook Pro Live In NAC 2007

Macintosh Laptops - My MacBook Pro Live In NAC 2007

This year my job was doing powerpoint presentation. Still another on-the-fly job and with the same team but this time I teamed with Eddie. Using one of my Macintosh laptops, my MacBookPro was used to do presentation on the three big screens. I was glad that the dual display on my mac did not fail me and yet the audio-video functionality was far better IBM-compatible machine.

Although it was another long sleepless stressful event, we had lot of fun too. We joked together while working on our tedious tasks. This year was a ten-day event, running the show from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore and straight into another four-day event, World Internet Mega Summit.

  • 101st Proposal

    101st Proposal, Korean Drama
101st proposal, This Korean drama is another Korean romantic comedy talking about a forty-year-old boring bachelor fall in love with a twenty-six-year-old beautiful charming radio broadcaster.

This is also another touching story about how this bachelor trying to change his lifestyle and habits to woo her dream girl. In the name of courtship, he does lot of stupid things to entertain us.

  • My Girl

  • My New MacBook Pro

This Is My New MacBook Pro

Finally, I got myself a MacBook Pro after five months without any computer.

I went to Hong Kong and purchased because it was cheaper than in Singapore. I got it SGD$600 cheaper off the retail shelf.

My new MacBook Pro was similar to my previous MacBook but with more powerful processing power, high definition screen, illuminated keyboard with ambient light sensor, etc. I could go on and on with all these cool features but you could read them on the Apple website.

The coolest thing to do on my mac was to run Microsoft Windows through Parallel in coherence mode. So what was this? I was to run Windows application without the Windows Desktop. It gave you the feeling of running Windows application in the OS X.

What I did not like was the 15” screen that was too big for me. It made the unit form factor too big for me to carry around. The power adapter was slightly bigger than my previous PowerBook.

For now, I was happy with this machine and hoped it would be a good companion and as faithful as my PowerBook. Loving my new MacBookPro.
